Ford Championship Weekend 2009

Some of the perks of my job are pretty darn good!  I got to attend another NASCAR race weekend, this time, the Ford Championship Weekend at Miami Homestead Speedway.  What a great weekend!  I worked some, visited with company and dealer friends, watched some great racing, and had a night out on the town on South Beach.  I capped the weekend off with a nice evening out with my good buddy Eddie Mazzaredo who was in town visiting family on Sunday night.  While at the event, we got to meet Mike Rowe from Discovery Channels "Dirty Jobs".  He is a really cool guy - just like what you see on TV.  We actually ran into him at the hotel bar on Friday night.  Then, I ran into him again a few times over the weekend and he was very friendly.  A highlight of the weekend was meeting NHRA Funny Car legend John Force and his son in law Robert Hight who is the 2009 NHRA Funny Car Champion.  John, Robert, and their family are great people and great spokespeople for Ford.
